Slane Bridge, a historic stone bridge over the River Boyne in Ireland. The earliest parts of the bridge structure date back to the 13th to 16th centuries.

The earliest parts of the bridge structure date back to the 13th to 16th centuries. The site marks the location of the original monastery of Kells, founded by Saint Columba around 554 AD. The current church structure dates largely to 1788, but the grounds contain medieval remnants including a Round Tower and Celtic high crosses. Kells was elevated to a cathedral in 1152 following the Synod of Kells.

Adare Desmond Castle. The castle is a medieval fortress built along the banks of the River Maigue. It dates back to the 13th century and was a major stronghold for the Earls of Desmond.
